Case Study 2 - Royal Cornwall Yacht Club

The Brief

• Create a web site system for the club that enables them to keep the site up to date easily.
  
• Produce a visually appealing style that portrays both the tradition of the club and the positive aspects of sailing in the Falmouth area.
  
• Create a system that enables members and guests to book online for the various races and events that the club organise throughout the year.

Solutions Found

It was decided that a full Content Management System would be most suitable for the Club. This would enable them to take complete control over the content of the site and make any changes required. It was decided that Macromedia Contribute would be the best product to use as the pages remain in standard html, a benefit for marketing the site and speed of performance.

A solution was arrived at for online payments that made use of the Club's existing payment facilities.
