Atkinsons Internet Services was originally set up in early 1997 by Tim Atkinson and the late Mike Bennett. AIS began with the creation of the Falmouth Directory, a directory site built purely to promote the town of Falmouth and its businesses and tourism through the Internet. This was shortly followed by the erection of the Falmouth Webcam and Falmouth Sailing websites, also promoting the town and sailing in the area.

It was not long before contact was made from local Falmouth businesses and clubs wanting to be listed in the directory, or advertised on one of the Falmouth sites, but with no existing website of their own - and so Atkinsons Internet Services began its movement towards commercial web design and marketing, the income from which assisted in the upkeep of the three promotional websites.

Over time things built up and Web Design and hosting became the core feature of AIS, specialising in local Falmouth based businesses. Sadly Mike Bennett unexpectedly passed away in 2003, but Atkinsons Internet Services has continued what he began with additional new people and a fresh outlook.

Today, as we move into 2005, Atkinsons Internet Services has developed into a thriving web design, hosting and marketing company, offering everything from a basic one page site through to full ecommerce shopping sites and custom built content management systems. We also offer marketing and advertising on many of our sites. Our client base now extends across the UK.

Behind the commercial aspect we still maintain the original ethos begun by Mike and Tim - continuing to promote Falmouth town and its local businesses and attractions through the Falmouth Directory, the Falmouth Webcam, and Falmouth Sailing.
